E-Bikes Are Back in The News
Honestly, They Never Left

You might want to give e-bikes a second thought. FishHawk’s had a run of close calls and complaints, so the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is stepping up enforcement in the neighborhood. Deputies say the pattern is familiar: teens riding fast, blowing through stop signs, skipping helmets, and treating sidewalks like stunt courses. After a few too many near misses with cars and strollers, the message is simple. Slow down, gear up, and follow the rules.
What does the crackdown look like? More patrols in hot spots, more stops when riders ignore traffic laws, and yes, more phone calls to parents so everyone’s on the same page. The goal isn’t tickets for sport. It’s preventing the kind of crash that ruins a season and racks up ER bills. If you’ve got a rider at home, this is a good week to check the basics. Helmet fits. Lights work. They know they’re a vehicle in traffic, not a video game on wheels.
Brandon drivers, keep your eyes up around crosswalks and neighborhood cut-throughs. E-bikes are quiet until they aren’t. A little patience from drivers and a little discipline from riders goes a long way. We all like a breeze on a bike path. Let’s make sure it doesn’t come with sirens.

Back to The Bay…In Three Years

It’s official. The biggest game in college football is coming back to the Bay. The College Football Playoff National Championship returns to Raymond James Stadium on January 22, 2029, marking Tampa’s second time hosting since 2017.
If you remember that first one, you know it wasn’t just a game. Downtown turned into a giant tailgate, hotels filled up, and Clearwater Beach looked like spring break met the SEC. Tampa earned rave reviews for the weather, the food, and the views because let’s be honest, 80 degrees in January is hard to beat.
But fear not. With more than three years of lead time, you’ll know exactly which roads to avoid and when to stay home. And let’s be real, that’s what most of us are worried about. If you work in Tampa, you’ve got three years to plan that work-from-home day.
