After that, if you spot anything, a loose shingle, a missing nail, a slightly discolored spot on your ceiling…you’re on your own. It could also mean claims from later storms get denied as “preexisting.” Don’t take the chance.

From Red Tape to Nap Time

Life with kids isn’t cheap, so any help matters. Florida just rolled out a law that tries to make child care a little less pricey by making it easier for centers to hire and train. Think more online training, faster background checks, and letting new hires start under supervision while the paperwork catches up.

Centers with strong records can get lighter follow-ups, so staff spend more time with kids and less with clipboards. There are also small breaks for on-site employer programs and some relief for preschools.

Will your bill drop tomorrow? Probably not. But shaving time and red tape helps keep classrooms open, teachers on the floor, and prices from creeping higher. Less paperwork, more playtime. We’ll take the win.
